Curious though, what type of hack did he use and how widely available is it??

Well apparently phaez used his hack and the only way he was getting kicked from their anti cheat server was by manual console kick
So yeah its a good step in the right direction, but still needs alot of work.

Hmmm, NO. If I understand they developed Client-Server anticheat system like VeXSecure. And this is really good work.

I think the best way of preventing cheating is developping the following: -ubisoft releases a client server patch that does the following: - Locks all system critical files (mostly fcdata folder files) that are needed to run the game, and pereodically run a checksum crc check on them so that they have not been altered in any way. - The files that do need temporary read/write access or sections in memory which need altering ( any cvar's) should be run through an encryption algorythm in which a changing key (16 bit long is enough) is sent from the server (server admin can chose any key) to each client, and the encryption algorythm would take this key and process it and decrypt/change the necessary cvars in memory and then finally return an encrypted acknowledge message to the server. Seems a bit overkill but also makes for a very tight security system against hackers. It also wouldnt use much more bandwith than usual. The only setback would be that it would use maybe an extra 1% of your cpu processing power to decrypt/encrypt the vars/keys/ack messages. Just an idea i felt like writting out

i also know a hack (program) that can speed u game up, but theres a few bugs with it, its called !xspeed and is meant for speeding CPU up, but its been used in many games and it unstoppable for pb kick. its a seperate program that runs in the desktop (its quite fun to use if ur having a laff with ur mates on a server) but its really obvious if sumen is using. for one farcry crashes every 10 min on a time server because ur game clock is running wild and the server game clock is at normal. im thnking that if sumen could set it just a little bit higher than average running speed in farcry, they can get away with murder.
NOTE: theres also an on off key so if sumen sees u in farcry running at hyperspee, u hit a key and it turns off.
well cya peeps

Yeah i seen kenny use that one and a few others before.
Its very simple hack but now it can be detected by pb, im pretty sure.
Yeah, that wouldnt be to hard to implement either, if they already havnt done it yet. To synchronize both clocks from clients to server. If clock is off by maybe over 10 seconds, then kick the user.
