This is what Clivey wrote on the Frag & Bag forum:
"Ok, if you want to try it, heres another way. For those that just say stay as 1.33 you will understand soon, why its important as a mod. If all clans that want 133 do this, then you can all have 1.4 but played in a 1.33 way, with stickys back and all weapons back 100%, plus you keep the additional menus and security patches (yes there were some). A Server Side mod will not fix the weapons problem.
CLIENTS:
www.onlineftp.net/bullet/133.zip
Unzip the mod into your mods folder, so it should come out as YOURFC/Mods/133
Copy and paste your FC desktop icon. Change the name of your "Copy of Far Cry" to "FarCry 133 mod" . Right Click the new icon and select properties. In the Target box, add " -MOD:133" so it should read something like "D:\\Games\\FarCry\\Bin32\\FarCry.exe" "-MOD:133" (there is a space between the.exe and the minus sign)
Server:
Unzip the mod into your mods folder on the server, so it should come out as YOURFC/Mods/133
Download this and place it in the main FC folder on your Server www.onlineftp.net/bullet/133Server.cmd
Now launch the server with the icon 133Server. When the DS has launched, type in the white box at the bottom SProfile_run where the profile name is one that you are already using. If you dont know, look in your FC/Profiles/server folder and it will be called xxxx_server.cfg Your profile name is xxxx, not xxxx_server
Thats it. Your server is now running 1.4 with a 1.33 mod. Clients that launched by the method shown above in the Clients section, can go straight in, if they launched normal FC and then try to connect to the server, it will ask them if they want to load the mod.
You will know if it all is OK because apart from the obvious weapon changes, the Sticky will be back instead of C4 and I edited the Attackers/Defenders logo, so it says 1.33 in it.
Just to be cheeky, I also added another game mode in as well, CTF, as TDM/FFA guys may like it. CTF maps can be found here www.onlineftp.net/bullet/ctf_Levels.zip These go on the server and clients Levels folder as per normal maps. If you want them in a map cycle, you use CTF instead of Assault or TDM etc (your server admin will know what I am talking about)
WARNING: Dont modify the file because if you do, people will have different version of the mod, so wont be able to connect."
Good news, let's see what Server Admins do
